Cameo/Silhouette tutorial for Amanda Robinson Studio

This is my last project as a GDT for Amanda Robinson Studio. It was a fun assignment and I hope to get the chance to be back as a guest designer at a later time :)

I decided to use Amanda Robinson Studio Family words ‘Together’ as the title but I wanted the text to pop so I needed to cut the word twice in different sizes. This is one very easy way to create that shadow effect and make the title pop.
 1) First decide what size you want the word.
 2) Select the word and open the offset window

3) Choose the offset button and choose the size of the offset. I chose 0.117 in.

4) Now select the ”shadow” and drag it outside the word.

5) It is now ready to cut. Use different colors of the word an the shadow to make it pop.
6) Now lets take a look at the actual layout. I decided to make an artsy page with gesso, texture paste and lots of colour. I started by adding Modelling paste to the background using a stencil.

7) After I had dried that layer, I put a thin layer of gesso on top.

8) Now the fun begins. Add lots of mist and water to make an artsy happy background like this.

9) Dry and decorate. I used the Amanda Robinson Studio Circle background as a photo mat and then the Amanda Robinson Studio Family words as the title. Just adding a few stars and then the page is ready.

I have used the following cutting files from Amanda Robinson Studio:

Oiiiiiiiii berg-och-dalbana

Material:
Heidi Swapp Dreamy Collection (12x12 Choose happy, 6x6 paper pad, Ephimera, Stickers)
Heidi Swapp mask
Stämplar från KaiserCraft
Floral Circle de från Tonic Studios
Mist, gesso, modeling paste.

Star cards .:. Project Life

I have two more posts to share as a Guest Designer at Amanda Robinson Studio.

I really fell for the star cards as soon as I saw them. So useful. I wanted to create something different with them so I decided to try Project Life, me PL!!! I have been thinking about this for more than a year and the star cards pushed me over the edge, LOL. Second PL page ever. Anyway this is how I used them.

I cut the star background to use as a mask:

Then I added the cut out stars here and there.

I also used some of the circle background.

and of course the star cards… both for journaling…

and for decoration…

MiniMe

There is a new challenge over at The Studio Challenges - use lots of Triangles on your page.

I have 3 kids and one of them is looking just like me when I was a kid - he is a MiniMe

I used the triangles to frame the photo but also to create balance in the page.
I used FabScraps new collection The Gentlemen's Club on this page as I thought the colors matched the jungle in which this picture was taken.

Supply:
FabScraps Gentlemen's Club Collection (papers and chipboard)
Alphas from AC and OA.
Enamel dots and modeling paste from Teresa Collins
Mask from Studio Calico

Artsy backgrounds XOXO

It is time for my second project as a GDT for Amanda Robinson Studio.

I love artsy backgrounds with colour and stamps. I started by adding a tin layer of transparent gesso on the PP. then I just quickly added some of my favourite colour turquoise on some of it. Then I went wild using several different stamps randomly over the teal area and some of the rest of the page where I planned to put decorations.

I used Amanda Robinson Studio Love cards 1 and 5th February free shape XoXoXo border as decorations on this page together with some butterfly rub-ons.

In the end I decided I needed just a tiny bit more colour so I splashed some more turquoise in a slightly darker colour, same as the butterflies, on the page.

Love birds

Have you entered this month's challenge at A2Z Scraplets yet? If not, please do.
This month is all about making an off the page project.
This is my take:

I used the following scraplet:

Now we would love to get some more entries to the challenge and I hope I managed to get your Mr Mojo coming with inspiration.
